As an Online Beachbody Coach for over 8 years now, one of the questions that I get a lot is, "What is the best program for me"?

You see, when I used to post heavily on social media about my workouts, people just assumed that I knew a lot about health and fitness. But in all reality, I was learning too! Over 8 years ago my brother introduced me to the original P90X workout, and I completed the program, lost 25 lbs, got ripped, and was in the best shape of my life in my 40's! This was the BIG reason why I decided to become a Beachbody Coach, because well......the programs simply work!

For the past 8+ years, I have been doing strictly Beachbody workouts, OCR Specific Training, Hiking and Running. I'm sure that you all would agree that there are a lot of ways to get healthy and fit, and it's all about finding which discipline works best for you, but Beachbody was my way of getting real results with NO SHORT CUTS.

So when people ask me which workout program is best for them, I always let them know that the information that I give them will basically be Beachbody Health and Fitness options, because that is what I eat and breath every single day. It's what I know, and it's what works for me, as well as thousands of my friends and customers.

With that being said, let me explain to you in my opinion, how to choose the BEST Beachbody Fitness Program for you in these simple steps:

1.  Get connected with a committed Beachbody Coach first. Yes unfortunately, like anything, there are a lot of terrible Coaches out there, some who just want your money, so you have to be picky. To be honest, the best Coaches in my opinion are the ones who stay committed daily and provide you with valuable information to help you make your own choices, even if it's free. But guys, don't take advantage of this free information, these Coaches work hard day in and day out to help you. Don't forget about that.

Also,  I highly recommend the Coaches who are still going through their fitness journey. Beachbody Coaches are not all super fit and there's nothing wrong with that. If you are looking for genuine accountability, then you will be surprised to find the best coaches are the ones who still have a lot of struggle in their own lives, and they will do anything to help you because it is a motivation for them.

Accountability is one of the best ways for succeeding with a fitness goal. Most people cannot get healthy and fit alone, and that is why they join local gyms, group workouts, and beer runs ha ha. 2.  Join an Online Challenge Group or Free Fit Club. If you've never done a Beachbody Workout before, what better way to do it with a ton of people online. There are a lot of online groups out there from Free Meal Prepping, Getting Started, Staying Motivated, and of course a challenge group for every Beachbody Fitness Program ever developed. All of these groups are hosted by Beachbody Coaches, all you have to do is connect with your Coach and he/she can send you a free invite to join the fun. There are even free fit clubs hosted in local community centers, gyms, parks etc. These free fit clubs are a good way to try and learn more about the workouts. From there, it's all about narrowing it down to what your fitness goal is, start a program with a challenge group, and then attend the weekly fit clubs to get that extra motivation and accountability to keep you moving forward.

3.  Stay Committed. This is the hardest part, and why it is so important to connect with a Beachbody Coach. Yes, everyone falls of the wagon, and there is no judging here, we've all done it, we're human. The most important thing for you to know is that whether you are struggling and haven't found the momentum yet, your Coach will always be there to help you recover and restart. Nobody is perfect, not even your Coach. Life will get in the way, and finances might deter you from investing in your health.

It's all about the mindset, and knowing what is the most important thing in your life. When you figure that out, and you begin to surround yourself with the right people, trust me, things WILL change.

Let's face it, no matter what you do, without our health and fitness, you and I are nothing. Our bodies are our temple, if we take care of ourselves, we can have unlimited potential in anything that we decide to do.

ANOUSONE BOUNKET
Weighing in at over 200 pounds, Anousone knew that something had to change. One day he was browsing through Facebook and was inspired by his friend, and now Coach Jay Flores. Jay encouraged him to join one of his Challenge Groups, so Anousone began his journey with the P90 Challenge which was focused more towards beginner fitness levels. Always known as a Sugar/Soda/Candy Addict, Jenna laughed at her Coach who invited her to a Challenge Group. She told her Coach Vivien "I've never completed a fitness program ever", let alone a home fitness program. But Vivien believed in her, that's what Coaches do! When I began my fitness journey back in September 2010, the question that I asked myself was "how in the heck am I going to keep myself motivated while working out at home?" In the beginning, I preferred to workout at home because I worked a lot of hours (I had 3 jobs), and my income was limited so I could not afford a gym membership or a personal trainer. I started with P90X which was given to me by my brother Fermin Banawa, and that's how it all started. Even though I am a naturally self-motivated person, I unfortunately had plenty of days where I needed some help with staying motivated and accountable. These are the 7 things that kept me motivated while working out at home, which could also be implemented to working out at the gym.

7 Ways to Stay Motivated While Working Out at Home:

1.  GET A FREE COACH - Nothing beats having a Free Coach to be there for you while you are going through your fitness journey. Working out at home is tough, but having a coach who can be there for you online anytime can be a game changer. 2.  JOIN A FREE ONLINE FITNESS GROUP - A Free Fitness Support Group is a group of like-minded people who have one set goal, to get healthy and fit while meeting others. If you ever lack the motivation to workout, it's pretty simple, all you have to do is post a message in the group, and you will literally get a ton of messages motivating you to get your butt off the couch! The group is for everyone to post their workouts, healthy recipes, motivational messages, and even get in on some challenges. Simply log in everyday, interact with hundreds of your friends, and get your fit on!

3.  JOIN A CHALLENGE GROUP - If your goal is to get the best results possible, then a Beachbody Challenge Group is what I recommend. I started with a P90X Challenge, and I stayed motivated and had an absolute blast! A Challenge Group is like a regular online fitness support group on STEROIDS! It's not just about health and fitness, it's about your life, your family, and your future. It's about making health and fitness a lifestyle and making friends for life. 4.  INVITE FRIENDS TO WORKOUT - Some days I would not want to workout by myself, so I would invite my roommate or a friend to join me, and believe me, it made a huge difference. Not only do you get that extra motivation from working out with someone, but you are also sharing the lifestyle with others. Sometimes when you are working out on your own at home, you may not push yourself as hard, but when you think you're tired and you look up, and your friend is still doing push ups, that can give you that extra push to go the extra mile, and that's when the RESULTS come! =)

5.  GET THE FAMILY INVOLVED - It all started when my brother introduced me to P90X, and since then, I've inspired many of my other family members to a healthier lifestyle. A family who works out together, stays together =). I am always motivated when I work out with family, especially very inspired when I workout with my father who is 70 years old and still killing his Insanity workouts!

6.  FIT CLUBS - Yes, I'll say it again, working out at home can be tough, and that's why I started a Fit Club back in 2011 in Tampa, Fl to help my fitness challengers get more motivated with their home workouts. There are Beachbody Fit Clubs all over the USA and Canada. Fit Clubs are for people who would like to try Beachbody Fitness Programs for the first time, or for people who are already doing Beachbody Fitness Challenge Groups and would like more motivation to get them through the week. It's also for anyone who enjoys group fitness. I know that this option takes you away from your home, but if it can motivate you, then why not right? Here's an idea, why not start a little group fit club at your house once or twice a week with your friends and family! Working out at home doesn't mean that you have to do it alone =)

7.  REST - This is a very important part of staying motivated. If you are not well-rested, you will not have the energy to workout at home. Let's face it, without energy, there is no motivation. So make sure that you are taking full advantage of your rest and recovery days. I recommend that you also focus on 80% nutrition. You are what you eat, and if you eat clean, you will rest better, and have the fuel needed to conquer your workouts at home.

I am so EXCITED for Shaun T's newest program, Insanity MAX 30. I don't really want to go into what the program is all about, but you can read my blog post on this here.

What is an Insanity MAX 30 Test Group?
It's quite simple actually. It's where a group gets together online (via an exclusive facebook group) and starts a health and fitness program "together" from the comfort of their own home or gym to keep each other accountable, and motivated. The test group is focused not on just fitness goals, but also life goals. When does the Insanity MAX 30 Test Group begin?
My first Insanity MAX 30 Test group will be set to start on January 5th, 2015. And after that date, I will be hosting ongoing Insanity MAX 30 Challenge Groups every week after. So if you miss the January 5th date, that's perfectly fine. I will have ongoing challenge groups set up every week starting on Mondays. The Insanity Max 30 Test Group will be a 60 Day Challenge.

The Art of Giving

I can remember at a very young age when I would give my seat to my mother at a social event, open the door for a stranger at a store, and sharing some cake with my brothers and sisters. These are among the things that we all probably did more than a few times in our life. As we got older, some of us continued doing these things, and then some of us continued to do even more. I think that I may be one of those people.

It wasn't until I met my Coach a few years ago, and we attended this event hosted by Dani Johnson, who is an Industry Professional in the Network Marketing field. Her story was amazing in that she took a product that she didn't like from the back of her trunk, and turned it into a multimillion dollar business in only 2 years. So what does this have to do with anything, you ask? Well, she has the same exact personality as I do, and this is something that I learned at her event. Dani Johnson is the creator of GEMS. A program that helps people learn more about themselves, as well as the people around them. The better a person understands the type of person they are, and the different personalities that other people have, she knew that it would benefit their lives, and their businesses. This was the same system that she learned when she started her business as a single, homeless woman, and later became a self-made millionaire.

After attending the event, I found out that my GEM was a Pearl/Emerald. This personality trait describes me as someone who makes "helping people" a priority. People with the Pearl Personality Trait tend to do a lot of things for free such as volunteering, pro bono work, and just doing things for people that most people wouldn't. Most Pearls will help other people before helping themselves, and that is the only negative thing about being a Pearl. We, meaning I, tend to do just that, and in return it sometimes delays my productivity and my goals in life.

I am also an Emerald GEM, which means that I am motivated by facts and figures. This is more of my analytical side. So put these two gems together, one might say that I am one boring dude! =).

The Art of Giving is something that I feel that I have mastered, and I truly enjoy doing it. I am the type of person that loves to pay for everything, enjoys planning events, and strives to make everyone happy. But again, the downfall is doing it way too much that it doesn't benefit me at all. That might sound rude, the "benefiting" part. And I use to think the same way, but if you think about it, if I stopped thinking about myself, how could I help people. In order to help people, you have to learn to first help yourself.

I am a Full Time Beachbody Coach. As a Pearl/Emerald it's like paradise because Beachbody Coaching is all about helping people. The more I help people, the more I can have a better life for me, my daughter, and my family. But even in the world of Beachbody Coaching, it is possible to give way too much as well. I have learned through the years what to do, and what not to do. And it is still a challenge for me because I just love helping people. If I could just coach people for free and give them free fitness programs and nutrition supplements, that's what I would probably do, but I had to ask myself: how will I put my daughter through college? how will I provide for my daughter when she needs something? how can I help my family if they are going through financial times? how can I help people and charities around the world? how can I donate to my church?........... IF I CONTINUE TO PROVIDE MY SERVICES AND PRODUCTS FOR FREE??

My goals are huge! And there is nothing better than setting goals and accomplishing them. So if you're like me, then balancing the Art of Giving with the Art of Benefiting is the key. I know some people will say, "then you are not a true giver", and what I say to that is "then you don't undestand anything about loving yourself". If you truly want to help people in big numbers, you have to create wealth for yourself and you will then be able to help more people then you could ever imagine. It's ok if you want to think "small", that's up to you. But as for me, I have always been the type of person who loves making a huge impact. I don't have to be in the spotlight, but I want to help others be in the spotlight, if that makes sense. As someone who enjoys giving, I don't want to be limited on the amount of giving that I could do, so the only way for me to make that happen, is to also think about my needs, and my responsibilities as a father, and a coach. In order to perfect the Art of Giving, you have to also be successful in life. So I choose to be successful so that I can help others!
