Living Digitally Nomadic as a Beachbody Coach

Digital Nomadic Beachbody Coach - Beachbody Coach Travel
Getting the World Healthy and Fit While Traveling the World

Digital Nomads are individuals who leverage technology to work remotely and live independently. When I began my journey as a Beachbody Coach in 2010, I started out like most people in that business, we all started part-time while earning income through a full time J.O.B. As time progressed, I was able to pick up some momentum in my coaching business by starting a local fit club to help the community get off the couch. It was a great way to meet people while sharing our amazing Beachbody fitness and nutrition products, the very same products that I used to rid myself from the toxic lifestyle that I was living before my fitness journey. FYI, I am not just some Coach trying to sell products, I am far from that. Beachbody has changed my life, and all I do is share what it has done for me. To me, that's not selling (besides, the idea of selling just annoys me lol) when you totally believe and are passionate about something, it's simply sharing. And that's all I do.

After 2 1/2 years of working my Beachbody Business consistently, I was able to rid myself from my 3 jobs, and pursue Beachbody Coaching full time. I eventually took my coaching business all online, and left the fit club business to my coach team. This is where the digital nomadic lifestyle comes in, and something that I have always wanted to do. I always envisioned myself traveling around the world with nothing but my backpack and my macbook, and my dream has finally come true.

There are different types of Digital Nomads out there, some being that they actually still have a job, but they are able to work remotely anywhere around the world. And then you have ENTREPRENEURS. I am part of the latter group as I am my own boss, and do not work under a company, pretty much....I am not an employee for any company. I believe that this is the ultimate in living the Digital Nomadic Lifestyle because you are able to work anytime you want and anywhere without deadlines from a so-called BOSS. Oh yeah, as an entrepreneur, I still set deadlines for myself, but at least it's for me, and not someone else.

I never travel without my Shakeology

Now there are Beachbody Coaches out there that do not consider themselves a Digital Nomad because they actually have a home base, and they are not traveling from place to place, and frankly, not all Beachbody Coaches love travel as much as I do. These types of Beachbody Coaches are just simply home-based business owners, but can easily become a Digital Nomad if they begin to have a keen interest in wanderlust, which is the impulse to wander and explore the world.

Being nomadic is freedom to me. I actually feel AT HOME, when I am not at home. Travel is something that I truly enjoy, and to be able to just pick up and go, and take your work or business with you is something that not too many people can do. My Beachbody business has allowed me to experience what I have always dreamed of, and isn't that what life is all about, doing what you've always dreamed of? Setting goals and achieving them?

As a successful Beachbody Coach and Digital Nomad, my goal is to continue to help people learn about living the healthy and active lifestyle while promoting the beauty of independent world travel. We all have our own dreams, goals and aspirations. Whatever you do, do it with passion and help people along the way, it will make all the difference. See you on the beaches of the world!

Always off to the next destination - Stay active and never stop exploring!

TOP 9 Reasons Why People Hate Money

TOP 9 Reasons Why People Hate Money - From a Beachbody Coach
TOP 9 Reasons Why People Hate Money

I have met a lot of people who were motivated by money and witnessed them build huge businesses, then fall right back down to rock bottom. I've also met some brilliant people through my travels, some of whom have graduated from the most prestigious universities in the world (not that it matters), and they had little or no money, and they were happy as can be. I am 44 years old, and can honestly say that I have been on both sides of the spectrum. It wasn't too long ago that I was in the nightlife industry, and I built a lifestyle marketing business to a six-figure income. My business specialized in hosting hedonistic parties, special events, and nightlife/concierge travel services. I was living a life that most people dreamed of, but I was not happy. I had a huge business and only a handful of real friends. That all changed when I turned my life around and started living a more healthier and fit lifestyle. I went from night clubs to fit clubs! I changed my whole mind-set and despised money. I hated money because it reminded me of all the fake friends that I had in the past, and all the mistakes that I made when I thought I was invincible. I hurt a lot of people during the process, and I just didn't want to do it again.

"I went from being broke, to having money, to reaching rock bottom, to making it back on top - this time, I'm doing things right" ~ Coach Arnel

So yes, I understand how some people can hate money. It took me awhile to finally realize the other side of what money can actually do (good things), because I was only exposed to the bad side, and the "Get Rich Quick". I ask that when you read this post, that you read it with an open mind, and then ask yourself this question, what do I do with my money?

TOP 9 Reasons Why People Hate Money:

1.  Because they don't have it
2.  Because of jealousy
3.  Because they abused money in the past and are afraid of it
4.  Because they don't know how to manage their finances
5.  Because they compare themselves with others
6.  Because they watch too much TV
7.  Because they think that money can only buy material things
8.  Because they are mad at the world, and quit on themselves and their goals
9.  Because they are negative thinkers and live under a rock

"Money is not the root of all evil, people are"

Here Are 9 Ways That Money Has Helped Me:

-  Start my own business so I can control my income instead of a boss
-  I can travel the world on my own terms
-  I can donate to great causes and my church
-  I can support and spend more time with my family
-  I can eat healthier, or whatever I want. If I want to eat at a nice restaurant, I can.
-  I can pay for my daughter's college tuition to help with her future
-  I have a roof over my head
-  I can help more people on a global scale live a more healthy and fulfilling life
-  I understand that it's not about money, it's what you do with the money that counts, I know that now.

I am now focused on helping people get healthy and fit physically and financially, I wouldn't change it for the world!

I live a very simple life, but yes......I still enjoy nice things. I don't need to stay at the Four Seasons, but it is nice every once in awhile. I have no motivation or passion to buy a Bugatti, but I do appreciate what it takes to create the masterpiece. You don't have to be money-motivated to achieve big goals, and I am proof of that. Money means many things to different people, so please stop blaming it on the paper (if you are that type of person), it's not the paper, it's YOU.

If money has helped you do some amazing things, please feel free to comment below and share it with me, I'd love to hear from you! =)

Top 10 Reasons Why Athletes Are Terrible Entrepreneurs

Now before you begin reading this post, please note that I am an athlete and an entrepreneur. More of an extreme sports athlete, I've raced mountain bikes and have been obstacle course racing since 2011. This post is based on my own experience through years of being around elite athletes of all sports genres. Some of the information below has been given to me by the athletes themselves.

Top 10 Reasons Why Athletes Are Terrible Entrepreneurs:

1. SPONSORSHIPS - Athletes have worked hard to get where they are, and companies see this as a way to market their products so they approach these athletes with free products and gear. A lot of these athletes then promote these products just for free swag, races, exposure, but very rarely get paid. Instead of relying on sponsorships, why not try business and partner affiliations and get paid for products that you really use and believe in. Build your dream, not theirs!

Obstacle Course Racing Athlete Sponsorships

2. MINDSET - The mindset of most athletes is to be the best at what they do, unfortunately it doesn't mean being the best at making business or money making decisions. Companies make money from these great athletes, I think it's time for athletes to change their mindset and begin educating themselves about taking their talents and earning a living with something they are passionate about. It's time to become entrepreneurs, and not just an athlete with an employee mindset.

3. "I Just Love What I Do" - I hear this a lot from athletes. They say they love what they do and then they continue to go to a job that they don't like on Mondays. People who love what they do, they do it for a living. Pro Football Players do what they love to do and get paid. Why not start a business on the side to help you do your passion full time and one day you will be able REALLY DO WHAT YOU LOVE, and not just say you do.

Athlete Entrepreneurs

4. FEAR - Athletes are great people. They have earned respect from a lot of people, and they have credibility. That's great, but what happens when you can't play football anymore, or race elite at a Spartan Race, what's next? Athletes are BEASTS by nature but have a fear of venturing out of their comfort zones. By the time they retire from their sport, most of them are dead broke or struggle to make ends meet. Why not get the knuckle up and diversify while you are still on top, so when you're done playing top athlete, you will still be able to stay afloat. Become an entrepreneur, sponsorships are temporary.

5. CLOSE-MINDED - This is a big one. Athletes are so set on their own ways sometimes it cripples them. Most athletes are used to getting hand outs and so many times they expect to get things for free. They expect to be offered business partnerships without even doing their own research or work on their end just because they are an athlete. Be smart, understand that business is totally different from athletic training and be open to learning about ideas that could benefit you in the future instead of expecting things to fall on your plate all the time.

6. TRUST - It's difficult to find trust in anything that you do which involves business. Some athletes trust too easy, while others have a 12 foot wall around them. Athletes like to keep a lot of things private because they train to be the best, and that's understandable. If they give away their secrets, then someone else will be the best, and they don't want that. But in order to excel, athletes have to find trust in a coach, accountability partner etc to keep them on point. Business works in the same way. Search for a person that you can trust, someone who has credibility, and someone who is focused on your goals (not theirs), and allow them help you build a future business....together!

Athlete Entrepreneurs

7. STUBBORN - Some athletes think they know everything. Yes, they are great at running, catching, surfing etc. but if you want to continue having companies (and a boss) run your life then it's time to listen and begin getting some sound BUSINESS advice. This is where you can stop running and start listening because your future is at stake.

8. RESIDUAL INCOME - Most athletes don't have a clue about passive residual income (Income that keeps on coming in even though you are not working). Pro Athletes live off of endorsements, sponsorship deals etc. But if you're not one of those big time athletes then this might be something that you should be looking into otherwise you'll be working a lot harder (for the rest of your life) then how you are training now.

9. BAD INFLUENCE - The cool thing about athletes is that they all ban together like brothers and sisters. The camaraderie is insane! But when it come to business, some athletes consult the wrong people. Like anything, if you want advice on having a good relationship with your spouse, you don't talk to someone who has relationship issues! Business is the same way, if you want to run a successful business, you get advice and direction from someone who is successful in the business, not someone who has failed or knows nothing about business. It's called the BASICS.

10. DON'T HAVE WHAT IT TAKES - Let's face it, becoming an entrepreneur is tough. Most people don't have the mental toughness to become successful business owners because of the fear of selling, getting rejected left and right, and the big "D" delayed gratification, people just want success now, and it just doesn't work that way. Athletes endure lots of pain, so you would think that they would make good entrepreneurs, but that's not always the case. Just like anything, if you don't BELIEVE you can, then you're absolutely right!

What It Takes To Become A Fitness Entreprenuer

This is a very broad topic, but I'm going to try to keep things as simple as possible =). Some of the most successful entrepreneurs out there have found wealth because they have discovered a product or service that the general population wants or needs. It's all about supply and demand in the business world.

With Joe DeSena - Spartan Race Founder

The one thing that really sets a Fitness Business a part from any other business out there is that it's a "life changing" business. You can actually literally change and save someone's life! It's not about selling electronic gadgets or gizmos, it's about helping people become happy, healthy, stronger, fitter, and confident. When people talk about investments, it's all about how much will your ROI will be, but think about it, all of that investing in stocks, bonds, and real estate doesn't matter if you are not in good health. Let's face it, you will be able to make better decisions if you are happier and healthier. You will be able to enjoy your investments only if you are alive to enjoy them.

"Comfort stunts growth" - Joe DeSena, Spartan Race

Health and Fitness is the best investment that anyone could ever make. I have seen many successful entrepreneurs who have built 7-figure businesses only to later pass away at a young age due to poor health and eating habits. Why work that hard and not be able to enjoy it for years to come?

It's a no brainer! Whether people want to admit it or not, we all would like to be more happy, healthy, fit, and have more freedom. Entrepreneurs such as Tony Horton, Jillian Michaels, Greg Glassman, Katrina Hodgson and Karena Dawn have all figured this out. They all believe in what they do, and all they did was share it, and that is how they were able to find success as a Fitness Entrepreneur. Was it tough? Absolutely! Do you think they wanted to quit? I'm pretty sure they did. But there's something about being in the fitness industry that gives you the advantage. You may be having a bad day, but the moment you decide to workout, everything changes! It's a feeling that you can NEVER get from your iPhone or the car that you're driving. It's a feeling that you can only get from eating healthy and exercising, and that's the power behind health and fitness. These entrepreneurs have built their confidence, they understood how to handle set backs, and this is what helped them become strong and do things that the average person would never do.

Tony Horton Fitness Entreprneur

Living the healthy and fit life is the secret to long life and success in anything that you do. So if you think about it, it truly is the best business in the world! The question is, how can I get started? Well, there are plenty of ways such as getting a degree from a college, getting your personal training certification, and/or affiliating with a company who compensates you for being healthy and fit, that's what I have done. I mean, why buy from a GNC when I can buy from myself and keep the profits!

"If you want to be successful, then surround yourself with successful people"

Anyone can become a Fitness Entrepreneur, but not everyone will. So what does it take to become a successful Fitness Entrepreneur? Here are some things to consider:

- Requires "shameless" self-promotion. If you care what people think, and not what you believe in, then any business will be tough for you.

- Requires having a system that can be duplicated.

- Requires thinking the exact opposite from the average person

- Requires passion for helping people

- Requires long-term thinking and delayed gratification

So the next time that you are eating that healthy meal, or working out at the gym or at home, think about this....I could be getting paid for this! And you are absolutely right =) Health and Fitness is a lifestyle, and also a vehicle that can give you true Financial and Time Freedom. There are a lot of options, but if you are interested in finding out what I have done, then feel free to connect with me. I can show you how I fired 3 of my miserable jobs, and now travel the world by running an online Beachbody Coaching Business. How would you like to eventually have the opportunity to create a 6-7 figure online fitness business with literally no employees! I can show you how =).

Whatever route that you take in the fitness industry, just make sure that you absolutely love what you're doing, and you are helping people along the way. Do it with passion, do it like you don't need the money, and it will eventually come. Good luck and I look forward to your success as a Fitness Entrepreneur!
