Insanity Asylum POWER LEGS Workout with Sand Bag and Weight Vest

This Asylum Power Legs Workout is part of the Insanity Asylum Volume 2 Elite Series. The original workout uses dumbbells with no weight vest. I am training for a couple OCR Championship Races, so I decided to kick it up a notch and add an even more extreme level of difficulty.

Full Workout Video Below!

Insanity Asylum workouts are versatile as long as you have the equipment. You can do these workouts at home, gym, or even outdoors. Insanity Asylum Workout Sheets are available. It's always recommended to watch the videos first so that you can fully understand the movements, this will ensure that you are doing the right exercise with proper form.

Insanity Asylum Upper Elite - (Full Workout)

Insanity Asylum Upper Elite
Insanity Asylum V2 - Upper Elite

I did the Insanity Asylum - Upper Elite workout with my brother yesterday, and I am still feeling it today! This workout is part of the Asylum Volume 2 Elite Series, and definitely one of my favorite upper body performance workouts. Shaun T really knows how to push you to the limits, and having my brother there to workout with really helped me push even harder!

You will see my father in a few of the photos as he was supervising (taking a nap) his two sons, and making sure that we were doing the movements correctly =). Let me just say one thing, my father is a BEAST, he is 70 years old and does Spartan Races, works out and runs every week, so he deserves to rest every once in awhile =). I just don't know how he can sleep while my brother and I are grunting, and slinging sweat all over the place lol.

Anyways, check out our workout below!

COOL DOWN STRETCH: The most important part!

So that was it! This is a very advanced workout, and I only recommend it to people who have completed Insanity and Asylum V1, or who are at an advanced level of fitness. If you are an athlete who plays sports, or if you participate in Obstacle Course Racing, this is a great training program. As with any program, please consult your physician first.

It's SHAKEOLOGY TIME!

I highly recommend the Insanity Asylum Challenge Pack before the Asylum Volume 2 Series. Get the Asylum Challenge Pack here.

Insanity Asylum V2, X Trainer - World Cup Inspired Workout

It's the World Cup! And so while the best of the best in FUTBOL are killing it on the field, I felt like it would be fitting to do some athletic training at home while watching them battle it out! I decided to do Insanity Asylum X-Trainer which is part of the Volume 2 Elite Athlete Training Series.

I'm going to be honest, after watching a little bit of the World Cup recently, I think I may have to incorporate a game of soccer into my weekly workout routine, those guys are some amazing athletes! So without further ado, let's dig into my WOD:

As always, Shaun T has to kill us with a warm up that seems like it's just as beastly as the actual workout!

Warm up included:
- Agility X-Trainer Part 1
- Hop Kicks (jump rope)
- U Agility Hops
- Hop Kick Swing Jumps (jump rope)
- Agility T-180
- Plank Heisman Agility
- Hop Heisman Agility

Time for a little stretch, this is where I finally catch my breath and I am able to say a few words to Shaun T for telling me that it was just a warm up! =)
