Back in September 2010, I made a decision to change my life and started a fitness journey. I started with a set of P90X DVD's that my brother Fermin gave me about 6 months prior. Before making the commitment to a healthier lifestyle, I was working 3 jobs just to make ends meet. Just a year before that, I ran my own Night Life Marketing Business, and built it up to a 6 figure income, but I was not happy, far from it! My typical business meetings were based on a bottle of Patron (yup, tequila), and my nutrition was far worse, which included fast-food and a lot of late night binging. It wasn't until one night I was hosting a party at a local night club where a good friend of mine I haven't seen for a few months came up to me and started poking my belly, she said "what's that!?!!?", let's just say that it was a WAKE-UP call for me, and what some people would call a defining-moment. Within seconds I was thinking of all the circumstances that lead up to this point in my life, from getting a divorce early one, and being separated from my daughter (that killed me), all the failed relationships that I had after that, all the poor business decisions that I made, and a bank account with nothing to show for. I needed a change, I wanted a better life, not just for me, but for the most important person in my life....my daughter! At the rate that I was going, I wasn't going to be alive to see my daughter live her life, and that really sparked my motivation to do whatever it took to turn my life around.
Six months after my brother introduced me to P90X, I went full force into my journey, added Shakeology into the mix, and 3 months later I was in the best shape of my life, and everything is history after that. I became a Beachbody Coach to help others who were inspired by the changes that I made. Early 2011, I opened up a Fit Club in downtown Tampa, and eventually helped open over 20+ Fit Clubs all over the USA. Then my brother Fermin introduced me to something else, obstacle course racing! That was my outlet to test my overall fitness, and it became my healthy addiction which I still currently race every month, at least when I am not exploring the world with my backpack. So many things have happened to me in the last few years, and to be honest, I feel like I am just getting started. I finally got my life back! Becoming a Beachbody Coach has been a game-changer for me. It has given me the freedom to travel the world, meet some AMAZING people, and spend more time with my family, and my daughter. I look back at where I was, and I am very grateful for everything that has happened to me. The most important thing to me is my daughter. Everything that I do, I do for her. She is my world, and I thank the ONE above for giving me the strength to survive. Through HIM, anything is possible.
