Well this can get really heated ha ha =)
Firstly, for those of you who know me, I'm the type of person who always tries to find the good in everything, and with this topic considered to be a "negative" for some, it is still my goal to find the brighter side of things. So let's dig in and find out why some Beachbody Coaches Quit.
With anything in life, it's all about finding something that can benefit us. Our primal instincts as humans is to survive, so when we come across something that we deem as too difficult or not pertinent to the path that we would like to take, we quit and either go another route, or unfortunately for many, the same route which leads to mediocrity .
Surviving in life and business today is complicated. Back in the paleolithic days, man had one goal in mind, and that was to survive. And the only way to do that was to hunt and gather food for their family. If they slept in, or decided to not go out and hunt, they would die.
In today's society, things are much different, but surprisingly still the same. Yes, the times have changed with technology and the standards of luxury living, but the goal of surviving hasn't changed. If we do not go out and hunt, we will still die. Today's hunting can mean working or looking for a job, running a successful business to provide for our family. Creating a tribe (company) to help other tribal members provide for their families so that we can take care of ours.
But somewhere in the mix of today's society, we have become lazy and less focused.
Cavemen had no time to be lazy. If they fell asleep during the hunt, they would be hunted and killed in a split second. If we fell asleep today, we could get fired from our jobs, and/or our businesses would fail due to not being productive or innovative.
What does this have to do with Beachbody Coaches?
It has a lot to do with Beachbody Coaches and today's entrepreneurs because the decisions we make can make us or break us.
These are 4 main reasons that I feel from my own experience why most Beachbody Coaches quit: (
Please note that this can apply to anything in life)
1. Difficulty Factor - Some people are just not meant to be Entrepreneurs. They may not have the drive to be a leader of a tribe, even though training is available to them literally 24/7. They may not have found a reason to fight for. Or they might just be plain lazy. DISTRACTION is also part of this. People see shiny objects (
hobbies that take away from productivity, surrounding yourself with toxic or unsupportive, non-goal driven people etc) and take them away from what they wanted to accomplish in the first place. But here's the deal, Beachbody Coaching can be difficult for some, and easy for another. It's all about going out and trying something that you've never done before, and doing it 100% for at least 2-5 years. If you can honestly say that you have done that, and the business still hasn't work for you, then yes, it is definitely smart to move on and find where your passion lies elsewhere.
"If you care about what people think about you, you will never make it"
2. Heart for Helping Others - Some people just don't have it. I know people who can barely support themselves, let along motivate others to become successful. Although there is superior training for this, it's all about people making a decision to really want to make that change. If you're heart is not really into bettering yourself first, then holy crap, it will be very difficult to help others. Most people don't ever pass the barrier of devoting time to making themselves successful in happiness through personal development, so they never get the idea of helping others. Yes, I know that everyone doesn't have the goal of saving the world =), and that's ok. As long as you learn to make yourself happy, then I'm pretty sure that any Beachbody Coach out there would appreciate the fact that you are spreading good vibes. It's all about respecting and being happy for others, Beachbody Coach or not.
3. Money - I've seen this a lot. Ok, I know that this is a business. Becoming a Beachbody Coach is like owning your own business, so yes, it is a "for-profit" enterprise. But it starts with something called INTEGRITY. In order to really become successful as a Beachbody Coach, you really have to change lives. If you are not making an impact in the community and coaching people through their fitness and financial journey, you will not make it. It's about investing a lot of your time into people. And unfortunately, most people aren't dedicated enough to do that, and I find that to be really sad. If you are a successful Beachbody Coach, that only means that you have helped thousands of people, and that's something to be proud of. Beachbody Coaching is not about selling materialistic items, it's really about selling a lifestyle. The fitness and health products are designed to help people become better humans, and what a movement that is! So I don't know about you, but I would rather be a part of something that is helping people become more happy and healthy versus just selling them something that just makes money. Reality check, if you're a greedy person, you will not last very long in this business, and that's a fact. Success is about putting people first, always has been. It's a relationship building business, just like any other business out there. Without people, we have no business. And trust me, I didn't make that up, just ask the people at Apple or Facebook if they need people to build a business =)
4. Opportunity - As humans, it's about surviving right. So there will always be opportunities that will present itself to us. For me, I believe in diversifying my income, as any entrepreneur should. Some people feel it necessary to quit something and go towards what they feel is a better opportunity. This is my take on that, it's your life, do with it as you wish. If you feel that quitting something and moving on to the "next big thing" is something that will help you become successful, then by all means go for it. But how many times are you going to do this? Most people do not understand that it doesn't really matter what they do because they already have what it takes to become successful within themselves. It's not about a company or a new compensation plan, it's about your commitment, determination, and integrity.
It's about the fight in you. Everywhere we go, there will always be challenges, and I'm sure that most of you would agree that quitting is not going to make things better. Instead of quitting, how about diversifying? Maybe try getting strong inside before making a decision to just repeat the same old process of searching for something that you already have. Now don't get me wrong, people have become successful leaving jobs to start businesses, or leaving other businesses to start larger empires, and that's great! All I'm saying is that it isn't about a company, it's all about bettering you. Without the right mindset, success will always be one step ahead. Change that mindset, change your life.
