Four Holiday Fitness Myths

4 Holiday Fitness Myths - Holiday Fitness Tips - Holiday Fitness Facts - Holiday Online Fitness Challenge - Beachbody Challenge
Four Holiday Fitness Myths - Fitness Tips

Other than the Full-Day Netflix Movie Marathons, pumpkin pie, and the SWEET potato casseroles, the greatest obstacles are not really the obvious. According to a Sports Dietitian at eNRG Performance, Rebecca Rick, it's really all about our own misconceptions. Here are four of the most common ones, and four easy solutions to help you finish strong and start the New Year with a BANG!

MYTH: Americans gain an average of 5 pounds between Thanksgiving and the New Year.
FACT: Most people don't even gain their plumpness during the holidays. The average weight gain is about 1.7 pounds according to a study by the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
YOUR MOVE: Don't obsess about what you eat, but definitely be strategic about it. If you overindulge during dinner, don't repeat the same thing for dessert. If you're attending a holiday party, bring a healthy dish, at least you know that you will have at least one healthy option.

MYTH: You're too busy to workout.
FACT: You're not, especially during the holidays. Yes, the high calories that you eat can make you feel a little sluggish, and the cold weather can make some outdoor workouts brutal, but if you're cashing in on vacation days and time off, then more than likely you have more time to sneak in a workout.
YOUR MOVE: Get creative! Look at the extra free time that you might have and take advantage of that opportunity. Get your family involved, and ask them to keep you accountable. Bundle up and do some holiday walking tours. Look for some free workouts or online challenges, there are plenty of gyms, personal trainers, and online coaches who are trying to gear up for the new year and host introductory classes and challenges to keep you on point during the holidays.

MYTH: You're already fit, so you're less likely to plump up.
FACT: For those of you who are already fit and healthy, then you know that maintaining fitness can be as much as a challenge as going through a weight loss journey. Being fit does not shield you from overindulging in sweets and big portions during the holidays. If you plan to kick up your eating spree, then it's pretty simple, you will need to kick up your workouts. More reps, more weight, longer workouts, runs, walks etc.
YOUR MOVE: Relax, but stay focused. You don't really have to do the same workouts that you normally do. You can do other workouts with increased intensity, or with longer duration. Most people who are fit understand that fitness is a lifestyle, so just moderate the holiday binging and plan to hit the workouts strong afterwards. Also, help others who are struggling during the holidays, because it will help you understand why you have committed to being healthy and fit in the first place, and believe it or not, people are truly inspired by that.

4 Holiday Fitness Myths - Holiday Fitness Tips - Holiday Fitness Facts - Holiday Online Fitness Challenge - Beachbody Challenge

MYTH: Whatever weight you gain, you'll lose it in the New Year.
FACT: Odds are that you won't. Although the majority only gain a pound or two during the holidays, most of them never lose it, in fact, most of them continue their holiday bad habits. Most people never really follow through with their resolutions, and according to a study done at Cornell University, people tend to buy more calories from January to March. Yes, they buy healthy foods, but more than anything, they continue to also buy their unhealthy foods as well.
YOUR MOVE: Treat grocery shopping like vacation packing: make a list and stay disciplined. If it's not on the list, don't buy it! Keep your healthy grocery lists on your phone for future reference. If you join a gym or start an online fitness challenge with your friends, make sure that you set goals together. Find a Coach who is not just in it for your wallet, find a Coach who really cares about your well-being. When you surround yourself with positive and like-minded people who are going on the same path as you, it will help you transition into a better lifestyle.

Anyways, hope this posts helps you, and if you need some extra motivation and a good kick-start to a new beginning of health and fitness, feel free to connect with me, I'll be happy to help you =).

My Strength Marathon Training Program with P90X

Strength Marathon Run Training with P90X
My Strength Marathon Training with P90X

I started running back in mid-2011 at the age of 40 years old. Contrary to what some of my friends believe, I was actually never a runner! In fact, just the thought of running made me sick to my stomach. I was always active when I was young, and was involved in extreme sports such as skateboarding, surfing, martial arts, and mountain biking.....but never running!

Things change as you get older, and for people who are in my age bracket, you are either a couch potato or super fit, there really is no in between, at least from what I've seen in my network of friends.

I started running when my brother introduced me into the sport of obstacle course racing, but around that time, someone told me about this marathon in Boston where you had to qualify. After doing my first obstacle course race, I made a decision to make running part of my daily routine. I ended up doing a half marathon even before I did a 5K, and finished with a 1:36 time with an average of a 7:19 pace per mile. I was amazed what my P90X training has done for me because I have never ran before in my life. It's amazing what that program did for me!

Strength Marathon Run Training with P90X

I got heavily involved with obstacle course racing in late 2011, and pretty much forgot about my Boston Marathon goal. The main reason why I loved OCR (obstacle course racing) was because it didn't just focused on running. As an OCR athlete, you are required to have overall strength and endurance especially if you want to be competitive. After years of racing and even developing a project to help the sport grow, I am now focused on my Boston Marathon goal once again. I just want to mark it off of my bucket list =)

I continue to be involved in obstacle course racing, and if it wasn't for my love of the sport, I would not have become a runner. I really owe it all to my success with P90X (thanks to my brother), and the sport of OCR. Now I am focused on the Boston Marathon.

I have started a 16 week marathon training program in which I will have run over 600 miles in 4 months. But I will not just be running, I will also be incorporating strength workouts from P90X, Body Beast, and some interval training from various Insanity programs such as Asylum and Max 30. The tricky part about strength training while endurance running is finding the balance. You can't build too much mass or else it will slow your running pace, but you don't want to just run or else you will lose your muscle mass and upper body strength, and that's something that I do not want to do especially if I plan to continue obstacle course racing as well.

Strength Marathon Run Training with P90X

I decided to try out the Marathon Training Program from Nike+. The coach programs are absolutely free, and it is very easy to follow. I live a pretty busy life as a Full Time Beachbody Coach, so I enjoy working out and having a program to guide me, so I can think about other things like family, travel, and business. The Nike+ Marathon Training Coach Program fits into my lifestyle, and so far it's doing well. If you are not training for a marathon, there are other training programs for 5K, 10K, and half marathons, so it's great for all fitness levels.

I incorporate about 3 strength workouts into my week. For the most part, I will normally plan a LEG DAY (such as P90X Plyometrics, Body Beast Build Legs, X3 Triometrics etc) on Mondays. On Wednesdays I do an upper body workout (such as P90X Chest and Back, Body Beast Bulk Chest, X3 the Challenge etc) and then on Friday will will either do another upper body workout or full body interval workout (Asylum Speed and Agility, T25 Total Body, Insanity Max Interval Sports Training etc). On Thursdays which are normally a cross-training day, I will either mountain bike or do some sort of stretching workout (such as P90X X Stretch or X3 Yoga). On Sundays, I will do more stretching and just relax.

A sample of my 16 week Strength Marathon Training Program:
- Monday (Leg Day + Run)
- Tuesday (Run)
- Wednesday (Upper Body + Run)
- Thursday (Cross-train and/or Stretch/Yoga)
- Friday (Upper Body or Full Body Interval Training + Run)
- Saturday (Long Run)
- Sunday (Rest and Recovery/Stretch)

Strength Marathon Run Training with P90X

That's just a sample of what my week looks like with my Strength Marathon Training with P90X. I am always listening to my body, so if I am feeling tired or over-trained, I will take a rest day to ensure that I do not injure myself. Recovery is very important to me as I have overtrained in the past many times, and it doesn't feel good at all. Safety first guys! Nutrition also plays a key role (80%) in my training program and I will be drinking my Shakeology along with my normal eating plan of fresh whole foods, lean meats, whole grains, nuts, and lot's of greens, fruit and WATER.

Strength Marathon Run Training with P90X

I have never done a marathon before, so I am pretty excited to sign up for my first one after I am done with my 16 week program. After my first marathon, I will see how much I have improved, and then I will go into my 2nd marathon training program which will be a lot more intense with longer runs.

If you would like to join me on Nike+ or workout with me online with either my Free Fitness Group or my Online Challenge Group, feel free to message me, I'd love to run and workout with you! As always, stay active my friends! =)

10 Biggest Workout Trends According to Google - 2014
10 Biggest Workout Trends According to Google

As I was scrolling through my facebook feed, I noticed an article which was posted by a friend of mine, and it said "10 Biggest Workout Trends of 2014, According to Google".  As a Beachbody Coach and an open-minded Health and Fitness Enthusiast, I was very curious, so I clicked on the link, and this is what I found. Deck of Cards Workout

Deck of Cards Workout - Playout the Game
Deck of Cards Workout

Believe it or not, there is more to a deck of cards then Poker and Blackjack!

The first time I saw a workout using a deck of cards was when I attended the 2014 Atlanta Spartan Sprint Race in Conyers, GA. Alicia Keys even attended this Spartan Race, check out the video! The mastermind behind this invention called Playout the Game was by elite athlete Eddie Koval, aka Mr. Playout! Playout is an exercise card game that turns body weight exercises (no equipment needed) into fun games and group competitions for all ages and fitness levels. You can get more information on Eddie's Playout Game here. There is also an app for the game as well, pretty cool if you ask me.

As a Beachbody Coach, I am constantly introduced to many workout programs such as P90X, Body Beast and Insanity workouts, and the 21 Day Fix Extreme, which will be coming in February 2015. But every once in awhile I love to change things up and see what's out there. I love the fitness industry, the people, and supporting others who have the same vision as I do, which is to help end the trend of obesity all over the world.

So if you do not have Playout the Game, you can also just use a cheap deck of cards. It's quite simple, here's how it works.

DECK OF CARDS WORKOUT:

1. Assign a movement to each suit: (you can change this after each game)
- Diamonds = Push ups
- Spades = Jump Squats
- Clubs = In and Out Abs
- Hearts = Dips

2. Each card that you draw equals a certain number of reps:
- Jokers = 15 Burpees

- King = 13
- Queen = 12
- Jack = 11
- 10 = 10
- 9 = 9 etc.
- Ace = 1

Depending on how long and hard you would like to workout, you can use the whole deck of cards or just half of the deck.

Incorporate Running with the Deck of Cards Workout:
You can either do sprints, 400 meters, or a mile.
- Sprints: You can do a 25-50 yard sprint. Simply put the deck of cards at each side of the 25/50 yard mark. Sprint to marker, pick a card, do the movement/reps, set the card next to deck face up, then sprint to the next sprint marker. Do this until the deck of cards is complete. Get extreme and do Chute Sprints!
- 400 meters: Run with the card deck. Every 400 meters, pick a card and complete the movement/reps. Do this for a workout length of time such as 30 minutes or 1 hour etc.
- One Miler: You can use either the Sprint or 400 meter concept. Should you use the 400 meter concept, I would set your workout length to at least one hour plus. Of course this depends on your fitness level. Always listen to your body!

*Add a 5-20lb Weight Vest with your One Mile+ Run Deck of Cards Workout if you're a BEAST.

Group Fitness with the Deck of Cards Workout:
Simply use the Sprint Concept above, but instead of placing the split deck of cards on each side, just keep the deck (or half deck) on one side, which would be opposite of the starting point.

Create 2 teams or more with equal amount of participants in each group. Each group would start at the same time by sprinting to the card deck, picking a card, doing the movement/reps. Upon completing the movement/reps, place the card face up beside the deck, then sprint and tag the next person on your team/group. The group/team who finishes the deck of cards first will be the winners!

Stay active my friends! =)

How to Stay Motivated While Working Out from Home

How to Stay Motivated While Working Out from Home - P90X Motivation
7 Ways to Stay Motivated While Working Out from Home

When I began my fitness journey back in September 2010, the question that I asked myself was "how in the heck am I going to keep myself motivated while working out at home?" In the beginning, I preferred to workout at home because I worked a lot of hours (I had 3 jobs), and my income was limited so I could not afford a gym membership or a personal trainer. I started with P90X which was given to me by my brother Fermin Banawa, and that's how it all started. Even though I am a naturally self-motivated person, I unfortunately had plenty of days where I needed some help with staying motivated and accountable. These are the 7 things that kept me motivated while working out at home, which could also be implemented to working out at the gym.

7 Ways to Stay Motivated While Working Out at Home:

1.  GET A FREE COACH - Nothing beats having a Free Coach to be there for you while you are going through your fitness journey. Working out at home is tough, but having a coach who can be there for you online anytime can be a game changer. A free coach can give you advice, motivate you, and give you that extra push that you need to get the results you are looking for. That's what my coach did for me! Need Free Coaching from me? Click here!

2.  JOIN A FREE ONLINE FITNESS GROUP - A Free Fitness Support Group is a group of like-minded people who have one set goal, to get healthy and fit while meeting others. If you ever lack the motivation to workout, it's pretty simple, all you have to do is post a message in the group, and you will literally get a ton of messages motivating you to get your butt off the couch! The group is for everyone to post their workouts, healthy recipes, motivational messages, and even get in on some challenges. Simply log in everyday, interact with hundreds of your friends, and get your fit on!

3.  JOIN A CHALLENGE GROUP - If your goal is to get the best results possible, then a Beachbody Challenge Group is what I recommend. I started with a P90X Challenge, and I stayed motivated and had an absolute blast! A Challenge Group is like a regular online fitness support group on STEROIDS! It's not just about health and fitness, it's about your life, your family, and your future. It's about making health and fitness a lifestyle and making friends for life. Ask me about my upcoming challenge groups!

4.  INVITE FRIENDS TO WORKOUT - Some days I would not want to workout by myself, so I would invite my roommate or a friend to join me, and believe me, it made a huge difference. Not only do you get that extra motivation from working out with someone, but you are also sharing the lifestyle with others. Sometimes when you are working out on your own at home, you may not push yourself as hard, but when you think you're tired and you look up, and your friend is still doing push ups, that can give you that extra push to go the extra mile, and that's when the RESULTS come! =)

5.  GET THE FAMILY INVOLVED - It all started when my brother introduced me to P90X, and since then, I've inspired many of my other family members to a healthier lifestyle. A family who works out together, stays together =). I am always motivated when I work out with family, especially very inspired when I workout with my father who is 70 years old and still killing his Insanity workouts!

6.  FIT CLUBS - Yes, I'll say it again, working out at home can be tough, and that's why I started a Fit Club back in 2011 in Tampa, Fl to help my fitness challengers get more motivated with their home workouts. There are Beachbody Fit Clubs all over the USA and Canada. Fit Clubs are for people who would like to try Beachbody Fitness Programs for the first time, or for people who are already doing Beachbody Fitness Challenge Groups and would like more motivation to get them through the week. It's also for anyone who enjoys group fitness. I know that this option takes you away from your home, but if it can motivate you, then why not right? Here's an idea, why not start a little group fit club at your house once or twice a week with your friends and family! Working out at home doesn't mean that you have to do it alone =)

7.  REST - This is a very important part of staying motivated. If you are not well-rested, you will not have the energy to workout at home. Let's face it, without energy, there is no motivation. So make sure that you are taking full advantage of your rest and recovery days. I recommend that you also focus on 80% nutrition. You are what you eat, and if you eat clean, you will rest better, and have the fuel needed to conquer your workouts at home.

TOP 8 Ways Beachbody Has Changed My Life

Beachbody Changed My Life - Become a Beachbody Coach
TOP 8 Ways Beachbody Has Changed My Life

I actually do not even know where to begin with this topic! 4 years ago when my Coach Lindsay and I, along with a handful of other coaches started Team Dynasty (aka the Bombshell Dynasty) in Tampa Florida, I wouldn't expect to be able to do what I am doing today both physically and financially. Now, I am by no means a Warren Buffet or a Mark Zuckerberg, far from it... ha ha, but I am happy to say that I am checking things off of my bucket list faster than IHOP sells pancakes! It was definitely not an easy journey, but I learned from my mentors that if I wanted to be successful in life, that I had to willingly help others become successful, so that's what I focused on, and still focus on till this day. It literally took me a little over 2 years to fire 3 of my jobs and become a full-time Beachbody Coach. With persistence, and the right attitude, anyone could accomplish this! My goal is to help anyone with that DNA (determined natural ambition) to become better than I am (it shouldn't be that hard lol)! And that's the intriguing part of this business, it's NOT a traditional business, because people are focused on making sure that you conquer your goals, unlike other businesses where it is cut-throat. I firmly believe that this is the future of entrepreneurship - PEOPLE "truly" HELPING PEOPLE!

Here are the TOP 8 Ways Beachbody (the company I am affiliated with) Changed My Life:

1.  BEST SHAPE OF MY LIFE - Believe it or not, I was a borderline alcoholic a few years ago! I was in the nightlife business and hosted parties for a living. I was on a path of destruction because I was killing bottles of Patron Tequila faster than they could bottle it. I knew that I had to make a change, and that's when my brother introduced me to P90X. I began my P90X fitness and Shakeology journey back in September 2010, and since then I have been an advocate for anything Beachbody. If something changes your life in a positive way, I guarantee you that you would be sharing it with people, and that's what I did. I currently have about 900+ Beachbody customers who I coach online. Would you like FREE Coaching and advice from me? Click here!

2.  TIME FREEDOM - I remember then I first became a Beachbody Coach, I mostly did it to get a discount on my Shakeology (what most people do in the very beginning) because I thought that I wouldn't have the time to build such a business. I had 3 jobs and was also raising my daughter. Where would I have time to start a business? Times got tough, I hated what I was doing, my boss ruled my life, and I finally woke up and set some goals for me and my daughter. Most people make time for things that are important to them, and once I made a decision to make a better life for my family, that's when things began to change. Because of my Beachbody business, I now have more time to do the things that I really enjoy.

3.  FINANCIAL FREEDOM - Money was never my #1 goal or motivation. In fact, I hated money! Before working 3 jobs, I was in the nightlife business and turned it into a 6 figure income business. I knew what having money was all about, or so I thought. After the nightlife business, I changed my point of view about money, and changed my fast-paced lifestyle to a very simple one. I continued this mindset with my Beachbody business, but now my financial goals are to benefit things such as charity, family, and my church among other things. Money is not the root of all evil, it's what you do with it that counts. My Beachbody income continues to grow every year, and that just means that I can do more to help the people and positive organizations around me.

4.  MORE TIME WITH FAMILY - If you were to ask me what the most important thing in my life is, it would be my family, especially my daughter! When I worked close to 100 hours per week, I barely saw my family, and rarely had the energy to spend time with my daughter. If I wanted to spend more time with my family, I knew that I had to do something different with my life. Sometimes when you are already living a busy life, most people do not even think about sacrificing more time with starting a business, but I knew that if I didn't do something with my life, that it might be too late! I'm glad that I made those sacrifices because now I can see my family anytime that I want. It's really a good feeling to make decisions based on my family and I, and not a J.O.B!

5.  NO BOSS - I've had plenty of jobs through the years. Some of them I truly enjoyed, and some I just did even though I hated it, but you know the drill, I had bills to pay. I know a lot of people who love their employers, and I get it. One of the best jobs I ever had was working for the Hyatt Corporation. I mean come on, FREE 5 star rooms around the world, what's not to love about that =) The only thing that I didn't enjoy was trying to get a shift covered to go on vacation, or to spend time with family, or to do an obstacle course race. Sometimes I couldn't get my shift covered and I would miss out on the things that really mattered most in my life. With my Beachbody business, I now have the freedom to work when I want, and where I want. If I don't want to work and I want to spend a week with my daughter, then my business allows me that freedom. I understand that becoming an entrepreneur is not for everyone, but all I'm saying is that if you have BIG DREAMS, then the only person that can make that happen is you. You work hard for you and your family, why not do it for you, and not a boss.

6.  TRAVEL THE WORLD - When I traveled overseas to Europe for the first time in 2001, it was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. It opened up my eyes and showed me how big this world really was, and I wanted more, but I just didn't know how I could do it. Everyone has a hobby, a passion, or something that they could do forever....that's what travel is for me. Beachbody has given me the freedom to travel the world, and the cool thing about it is that I can do my business from anywhere around the world as long as I have an internet connection. My prayers have been answered!! Thank you Beachbody =)

7.  DONATE - Back in the days, I used to spend $300 for a pair of jeans, $100 for a T-Shirt, $80 for a ball cap, and $15-20 for a cocktail....and guess what it did for my life? NOTHING! It enabled me to have fake friends and have no savings account. Yes, I made bad decisions, and not all of my friends were fake, but that lifestyle was not a very healthy one. These days, I am much better with my finances, and rather than spending it on useless things (to prove status), I am now focused on giving back to the people and things that matter most in my life. Don't get me wrong, I still like nice things, but I don't need it like I use to think I needed it back then. Beachbody has made me stronger on the inside and the outside, and I am very thankful for that.

8.  HELPING OTHERS - This is something that I have always enjoyed doing. Even when I hosted parties and events for a living, I felt like I was doing something good by offering a service that made people happy. I have always been about putting people first before me, and Beachbody Coaching has allowed me to take that to the next level. Rather than breaking up marriages (yes, my parties were pretty crazy) and promoting hedonism, I am now able to help people in a more positive way by helping them live healthier and more fulfilling lives.

Mountain Biking in Guatemala - OX Expeditions

Moutain Biking Guatemala - OX Expeditions
Mountain Biking Guatemala - Watch Video below!

I finally got around to creating a quick video on this Pilar Push Mountain Bike Tour that I did back in Antigua, Guatemala earlier this year (March 2014). There were many outdoor adventure outfitter companies in Antigua, but an Aussie girlfriend of mind that I met in Nicaragua told me about OX Expeditions, so I had to check them out.

OX Expeditions offers adventure tours from mountain biking, volcano treks, surfing, rock climbing, and zip line. They also have a place called Base Camp for adventure seekers to crash in between expeditions. I met Victor, the guy who runs the show at OX, and he's a really cool guy, and quite the outdoor enthusiast. If you are an adventure traveler, and you are in Antigua, Guatemala, then this is the place to stay and explore the highlands.

During my Pilar Push Mountain Bike Tour, I actually got injured going downhill. It happened about half way through the 3-4 hour bike trip, so I mostly filmed and grabbed footage of my tour guide Mehedhi, and Robin from Amsterdam who also joined me on the tour. The Pilar Push is an advanced tour and is definitely not recommend for the beginner. Mehedhi, who I just heard is no longer with the company, he was an awesome tour guide with a lot of experience and information about the highlands and Guatemala itself. He made the trip very educational and extremely fun!

I plan to go back to Antigua in the beginning of 2015 as I plan to backpack the Yucatan, and will begin my journey from Guatemala. So you know where I'll be - OX Expeditions and Base Camp! =)

Here is a quick "sneak peek" of the Pilar Push Mountain Bike Tour from OX Expeditions. If you go to the highlands, say "HOLA" to Victor for me!

7 Tips On How To Stay Motivated With P90X

How to stay motivated with P90X
How To Stay Motivated With P90X

Let's face it, some people are just a lot more self-motivated than others. But even though you are the latter (need all the motivation that you can get), and you are the type of person who cannot stay on track no matter what, there are ways to help you get the motivation that you need to eventually conquer P90X!

I remember when I did P90X for the first time back in 2010 (watch my FIRST P90X Transformation Video - click here), it was my first Beachbody Fitness Program that I ever completed, and trust me, it was tough for me, and I am someone who is self-motivated! Even people who are self-motivated cannot do it on their own, but I found some awesome things that helped me through it, and after 90 days, I was a new person inside and out. So how did I do it?

Here are some tips that I used to help me stay motivated with P90X:

1.  Connect with a Beachbody Coach - Nothing beats getting advice, personal motivation and tips from someone who has graduated from P90X, and is committed to helping you, that's what a Beachbody Coach does, and on top of that, it's absolutely FREE! Can't get that from your Personal Trainer =) 5 Ways a Coach Can Help You Reach Your Goals - Click Here!

2.  Join a Online P90X Challenge Group - Most people go to a gym or a Crossfit Box because they get motivated by people working out, it's the camaraderie! An Online P90X Challenge Group works the same way in that you are in a exclusive group with people who have similar goals as you, and everyone is committed to helping you smash your goals!

How to stay motivated with P90X

3.  Get an Accountability Partner - You've heard of this before "you are who you hang around with" and that is far from the truth! We all need motivation, we all need people in our lives to help us through the tough times. Starting a fitness journey has it's ups and down, so having someone who knows exactly what your goals are, and backs you 100% is a must when going through P90X!

4.  Invite your Friends - Whether you are working out at home, or at the gym, it's a lot more motivating when you have family and friends doing P90X with you. Invite your friends to do the P90X Challenge Group with you, and all of you can keep each other accountable, and also have some healthy competition =)

5.  Online Fit Clubs - Some Beachbody Coaches such as myself run Online Fit Clubs within our Challenge Groups. It's an awesome way to workout with people who are a thousand miles away! Click Here for more information on my Online Fit Clubs!

6.  Do P90X at the Gym - There is a reason why people have gym memberships. They have all the equipment they need plus more for their intense workouts, and secondly, they are motivated by the atmosphere and the accountability. P90X is not just a home fitness program! You can do P90X anywhere, including the gym, that's what I do! =) Contact me and let me teach you how to do P90X and the gym, or read my blog post on this topic here.

7.  Don't forget that you're Human - I remember that I use to get frustrated when I missed a day, or I was too tired for a workout because of working three jobs! P90X is not just a program, it's a lifestyle. Don't worry if you miss a day, or you ate something bad because you had to eat something real quick in between jobs. We are all human! As the creator of P90X Tony Horton says "Do your best, and forget the rest".

Top 5 Beachbody Fitness Programs for Traveling

Top 5 Beachbody Fitness Programs for Travel
Top 5 Beachbody Fitness Programs for Traveling

Ok let's face it, Beachbody comes out with the BEST fitness programs on the market! And I'm not just saying that just because I am a Beachbody Coach, don't forget, I did P90X before I became a Coach. Whatever your goal may be: Lose Weight, Better Athlete, Tone Up, Eat Healthier, Train for an Obstacle Course Race, Maintain Lifestyle, or even become a Pro Body Builder.....Beachbody has a fitness program for you.

Ok let's say you're about to go on vacation, or you're planning a trip around the world, it doesn't matter =) Most, if not all of the Beachbody Fitness Programs are very travel-friendly. Some more than others, but that's what this post is about. If you are like me, I love traveling! And one of the worst excuses for not working out is "going on vacation". I'm here to tell you that it is not impossible if you have the right program and the right ATTITUDE. If you go on vacation with the mind-set that you may not have time to workout (or eat healthy), then there's a good chance that you won't, but if you go on vacation with the mind-set that you are going to live a healthy and fit lifestyle no matter what, then you will have success, AND have a blast when you travel. Because fitness is a lifestyle!

So first things first, you always want to make sure that you are doing a program that is geared towards your fitness level. The best way to do that is to contact me, or fill out my FREE FITNESS ASSESSMENT, and I will give you some options on the best programs based on your fitness level and lifestyle. So after that, you're all set to have a great vacation or trip around the world!

Beachbody Fitness Programs are pretty much all travel-friendly depending on the following:

- Fitness Equipment
- Gym or Hotel Room Space

The Top 5 Beachbody Fitness Programs for Traveling are my suggestions based on having no or very limited equipment. I will specify which program requires certain equipment, and give you suggestions on how you can make it work for you.

1.  INSANITY - This is my top choice for the most effective and travel-friendly fitness program. Insanity does not use any equipment whatsoever, and you can workout in a hotel room, gym cardio room, or even outside in the park. This program is geared towards advanced fitness levels, but you can modify or go at your own pace. Insanity Options - Click Here

Insanity Max 30 Coming Soon (VIP Sign Up link below video)

2.  PIYO - This is also a program that requires no equipment. Piyo is LOW-IMPACT and is suited for all fitness levels. What I really like about Piyo is how the program incorporates yoga, pilates, strength and conditioning into the workouts. When traveling, stretching is something that can act as a relaxer. You've been hiking all day, shopping all day etc. so a nice Piyo workout would be a great way to end or even start your day. Yoga mats are recommended for some workouts, but as long as you have a soft surface, you should be fine.

3   P90X - This is my favorite program of all time! I love doing P90X at the gym or in my hotel room, or wherever I am staying. I use P90X mostly for weight training, and so if you are into that, then P90X would be my recommendation for you. The program does call for the use of dumbbells, pull up bar for most of the strength workouts, but if your hotel has a gym, you should be fine. If I stay at a place where there is no gym available, I just search for the nearest one on google, and either get a DAY PASS, or a weekly pass depending on how long I plan to stay. You can always pack some resistance bands with you to replace not having dumbbells, but from my experience, nothing beats the results that you get from actual weights. You also do not need to bring the DVD player into the gym, you can use the P90X Workout Sheets just as long as you are familiar with the proper movements.  P90X Options - Click Here! Do you prefer more weights? Click here for Body Beast Options

4.  FOCUS T25 - Are you really busy, but you still want to get your workout in? Well, that's what Focus T25 is all about. The workouts are only 25 minutes long, and there is minimal equipment needed. If you are just gone for a weekend, then you won't need to worry about weights or anything. Again you can pack resistance bands if you want. Depending on how long you are traveling, you can also plan your workouts ahead to make sure that you bring the proper equipment with you. I'll be honest, I do a lot of T25 in my hotel room, but when I do weights, I go for P90X. T25 Options - Click Here

5.  21 DAY FIX - Just like Focus T25, this program has 30 minute workouts. It combines everything from strength, cardio, plyometrics, and yoga. My favorite workout from this program is the 21 Day Fix - 10 Minute Fix for Abs, it's nothing but CRUNCHES! With all of that eating that you might be doing, you may want to hit some 21 Day Fix Cardio, then kill some abs too, it's one of my secret ab workouts that I do every week =).

So there you have it, my TOP 5 picks for the best Beachbody Fitness Programs for Traveling. If you have any questions on any of these programs, or if you would like me to assist you with finding the best program for you, message me, or fill out my FREE FITNESS PROGRAM ASSESSMENT, and I look forward to chatting with you soon! Safe travels =)
