Top 50 Richest Athletes in the World

I was running some errands with my brother one day in Las Vegas, and he was telling me about when he met Floyd Mayweather. He told me that he was talking to some people who knew him, and said that it was not uncommon for Floyd to carry a million dollars with him. I thought that it was ridiculous! That got me curious. I wanted to see how Floyd ranked with other top athletes. Floyd Mayweather is ranked #21 out of 50 athletes. Net Worth of some Beachbody Celebrity Trainers:

TONY HORTON - $20 million, Tony Horton net worth and salary: Tony Horton is an American fitness trainer who has a net worth of $20 million dollars. Tony Horton was born Anthony Sawyer Horton, Jr. in Westerly, Rhode Island, in July 1958. He is probably best known for creating the world famous P90X home fitness program. Prior to entering the business world, Tony attended the University of Rhode Island. In 1980 he moved to Los Angeles to become an actor and also did stand-up comedy. He worked out at the World Gym in Venice, CA which also housed Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno. Mark Sisson introduced Horton to internal training. Horton became a personal trainer and started a business called ASH Fitness in Santa Monica, CA. His clients included Billy Idol, Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, Shirley MacLaine, Sean Connery, Antonio Banderas, and Bruce Springsteen. He was a former spokesman for NordicTrack exercise equipment. In 2001 he came out with the in-home program Power 90. In 2004 he created P90X or Power 90 Extreme. As of 2010 over four million copies of P90X had been sold. In 2011 he released P90X2 and in 2013, P90X3. His first book Bring It! was published in 2010. In 2014 Horton came out with P90, which was billed as on "on switch" to fitness.

SHAUN T - $10 million,  Shaun Thompson is an American fitness trainer who has a net worth of $10 million dollars. Born in Camden, New Jersey, Shaun Thompson, also known as Shaun T., graduated from Rowan University, where he earned a degree in Sports Science and a minor in Theater/Dance. He began working as a trainer at various fitness centers, such as Equinox, and used his dance training to improve his aerobics classes. He began his professional career in fitness working at Wyeth, a pharmaceutical company, as a trainer and health program manager. He then moved to Los Angeles, and began working as a choreographer, trainer, and dancer, eventually dancing for Mariah Carey, among other music stars. While working at Equinox in L.A., he was invited to submit a workout video to Beachbody, LLC. He began making workout videos for Beachbody in 2006 with "Hip Hop Abs", and shot to stardom with his "Insanity" workout series.

And there you have it! For a complete list go here. If you notice, most of the athletes are entrepreneurs. These athletes were smart enough to know that they could not be on top forever, so they diversified their income and started businesses on the side. This concept is not just for the top athletes around the world, anyone could use this strategy! Be smart, do something on the side, because there is nothing wrong with having multiple sources of income. But whatever you do, I highly recommend that you do what you love, and love what you do with passion.

See you on the beaches of the world!

10 Biggest Workout Trends According to Google - 2014
10 Biggest Workout Trends According to Google

As I was scrolling through my facebook feed, I noticed an article which was posted by a friend of mine, and it said "10 Biggest Workout Trends of 2014, According to Google".  As a Beachbody Coach and an open-minded Health and Fitness Enthusiast, I was very curious, so I clicked on the link, and this is what I found. A week before the article was published, Google released it's top search trends for 2014, and among the list were workouts that saw the biggest spike in search volume compared to the previous year. It was pretty awesome to see that 5 out of 10 workouts listed below were specific to the ones that I currently specialize in with my online challenge groups. Check out the list, and maybe you can use this as a reference to setting goals for the New Year.

TABATA POWER Workout - Insanity MAX 30

Tabata Power - Insanity Max 30 - Tabata Training
Tabata Power - Insanity Max 30

So what is Tabata? The Tabata Workout is "High Intensity Interval Training" (H.I.I.T Training) which is structured to working out hard for 20 minutes, and resting for 10 seconds for 6-8 rounds.  There are no weights in Tabata Power - Insanity Max 30, your weight is your body, and trust me, you will be begging for mercy.

I really enjoy this workout, and my leg strength has definitely increased. As an obstacle course racing athlete, leg strength is very important. Although Insanity Max 30 workouts do not use weights, I do incorporate some P90X and Body Beast Strength workouts because I enjoy lifting and working out with weights. This all depends on your goals.

Tabata Training - Insanity MAX 30

Tabata Training - Insanity Max 30
Tabata Power - Insanity Max 30 - Tabata Training

As with all Shaun T workouts, Tabata Power is just insane, but thank goodness for the full-time modifier, anyone can do this and get through it. I made it all the way to the end, but I had to modify a couple times. As with any workout, always listen to your body and make sure that you are using proper form. It's not about how fast you go, it's about doing your best, and powering through with good form. Feel free to post your MAX OUT times in the comment section, and if you would like to join any of my upcoming MAX 30 Challenge Groups, feel free to message me, I have challenges beginning every week!

TOP 9 Reasons Why People Hate Money

TOP 9 Reasons Why People Hate Money - From a Beachbody Coach
TOP 9 Reasons Why People Hate Money

I have met a lot of people who were motivated by money and witnessed them build huge businesses, then fall right back down to rock bottom. I've also met some brilliant people through my travels, some of whom have graduated from the most prestigious universities in the world (not that it matters), and they had little or no money, and they were happy as can be. I am 44 years old, and can honestly say that I have been on both sides of the spectrum. It wasn't too long ago that I was in the nightlife industry, and I built a lifestyle marketing business to a six-figure income. My business specialized in hosting hedonistic parties, special events, and nightlife/concierge travel services. I was living a life that most people dreamed of, but I was not happy. I had a huge business and only a handful of real friends. That all changed when I turned my life around and started living a more healthier and fit lifestyle. I went from night clubs to fit clubs! I changed my whole mind-set and despised money. I hated money because it reminded me of all the fake friends that I had in the past, and all the mistakes that I made when I thought I was invincible. I hurt a lot of people during the process, and I just didn't want to do it again.

"I went from being broke, to having money, to reaching rock bottom, to making it back on top - this time, I'm doing things right" ~ Coach Arnel

So yes, I understand how some people can hate money. It took me awhile to finally realize the other side of what money can actually do (good things), because I was only exposed to the bad side, and the "Get Rich Quick". I ask that when you read this post, that you read it with an open mind, and then ask yourself this question, what do I do with my money?

TOP 9 Reasons Why People Hate Money:

1.  Because they don't have it
2.  Because of jealousy
3.  Because they abused money in the past and are afraid of it
4.  Because they don't know how to manage their finances
5.  Because they compare themselves with others
6.  Because they watch too much TV
7.  Because they think that money can only buy material things
8.  Because they are mad at the world, and quit on themselves and their goals
9.  Because they are negative thinkers and live under a rock

"Money is not the root of all evil, people are"

Here Are 9 Ways That Money Has Helped Me:

-  Start my own business so I can control my income instead of a boss
-  I can travel the world on my own terms
-  I can donate to great causes and my church
-  I can support and spend more time with my family
-  I can eat healthier, or whatever I want. If I want to eat at a nice restaurant, I can.
-  I can pay for my daughter's college tuition to help with her future
-  I have a roof over my head
-  I can help more people on a global scale live a more healthy and fulfilling life
-  I understand that it's not about money, it's what you do with the money that counts, I know that now.

Working remotely in Guatemala
TOP 9 Reasons Why People Hate Money - From a Beachbody Coach
I am now focused on helping people get healthy and fit physically and financially, I wouldn't change it for the world!

I live a very simple life, but yes......I still enjoy nice things. I don't need to stay at the Four Seasons, but it is nice every once in awhile. I have no motivation or passion to buy a Bugatti, but I do appreciate what it takes to create the masterpiece. You don't have to be money-motivated to achieve big goals, and I am proof of that. Money means many things to different people, so please stop blaming it on the paper (if you are that type of person), it's not the paper, it's YOU.

If money has helped you do some amazing things, please feel free to comment below and share it with me, I'd love to hear from you! =)

HIKING Muddy Mountains Wilderness - Las Vegas

Hiking Muddy Mountains Wilderness - Las Vegas
Hiking Muddy Mountains with the Family - Las Vegas

My family and I spent a day exploring the Muddy Mountains Wilderness - Anniversary Narrows Trail which is almost an hour outside of Las Vegas, NV. I visit Las Vegas about once or twice a year because my brother and his family live here, and it's just an awesome place. When you go beyond the glitz and the glamour of the LV Strip, there are plenty of outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, trail running, skiing, snowboarding (Mt. Charleston), and water skiing! I love it here because of the scenery. I grew up around beaches (trust me, I'm not complaining), but when I travel, I do prefer to visit places which are at higher elevation.

My Nephews showing me what BEASTMODE is all about!
Hiking Muddy Mountains Wilderness - Las Vegas

Muddy Mountains Wilderness was absolutely amazing. It's crazy how these mountains and rock formations were actually formed by water over millions of years! Walking through the 600 foot deep slot canyon takes you back in time about 300 million years ago. Even more amazing is that people have lived in and passed through these mountains for thousands of years. They have left behind rock art, artifacts, agave roasting pits, and rock shelters.

We didn't get a chance to make it up the highest peak which is called Muddy Peak, so I'll have to come back next time. I created a quick 2 minute video from our fun family hike, so feel free to watch it. And as always, stay active my friends!
